About

Practice History

Lamantia Dental has been serving the Mississauga community for over 35 years. The office was established by Dr. Ronald Goldstein, a graduate from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 1971. In the mid 1990s he moved his dental practice to its current location at 170 Queensway West. Over the next decades Dr. Goldstein provided exceptional dental care to his patients, many of whom have been with him since he graduated. This is testament to his welcoming, kind and professional manner in which he has served his patients and the community.

Andrew Lamantia took over the practice in 2024 after joining the office in 2023. Dr. Lamantia is a graduate of McMaster University where he completed his undergraduate studies and the University of Sydney (Australia) where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2015. After returning home to Oakville where he was born and raised, Dr. Lamantia has practiced dentistry in the western GTA before joining Dr. Goldstein in Mississauga. Dr. Lamantia has experience in all aspects of dentistry and enjoys oral surgery and implantology most.

Patient Care Ethos

Our philosophy at Lamantia Dental centers around total patient care – prevention, rehabilitation and maintenance. From infancy to geriatric care our dental needs change and evolve and we aim to provide tailored dental services to suit those needs as they change. A healthy mouth starts with a good oral hygiene, which is provided by our dedicated team of hygienists, assistants and treatment coordinators. Just like a house, healthy teeth need a solid foundation to sit on, and that starts with having good periodontal (gum and bone) health. We accomplish this with a combination of routine dental check-ups and adequate education so you can achieve the best home care possible.

Depending on your state of your mouth, and your specific dental needs, home care can be a combination of brushing (manual or electric), flossing, waterpik, interdental brushes, gum stimulators, fluoride rinses or other oral rinses. After our initial assessment, we can provide tailored education so you can better maintain your oral health at home in between dental visits.

Technology

At Lamantia Dental we strive to provide diagnostics and treatment with up-to-date procedures and technology. In the last decade the implementation and surge in digital dentistry has transformed how we practice and what we can provide to patients.

We have implemented digital x-rays including a Cefla NewTom Go CBCT machine which in addition to cephalometric/panoramic radiographs, allows us to take 3D images of the jaw to diagnosis impacted wisdom teeth, abscess/infection, failing root canals, sinus issues and implant planning. We have two intra-ora scanners that allow us to take digital impression for crowns/bridges, clear aligners therapy, implant planning, routine scans to track toothwear over time.

At Lamantia Dental we also provide clear aligner therapy to move teeth to improve both aesthetics and function. We use both Invisalgn and CandidPro systems to achieve these goals.
