Clear Aligners / Invisalign

  • Clear aligners therapy is a form of orthodontic treatment that uses a series of clear trays to move teeth into a better position.
  • Orthodontic records include taking an intra-oral scan, panoramic xray and photos after which a custom series of aligners are fabricated to be worn over the next 6-24 months in order to slowly align your teeth.
  • Clear aligners allows us to correct / improve crowding, spacing, overbites, underbites and crossbites in order to improve aesthetics, function and improve oral hygiene
  • Aligns must be worn for 22 hours per day and are removed to eat, drink and brush/floss.
  • Most people don’t even know you are wearing aligners.
  • Once the active phase of orthodontic treatment is completed a more robust tray is worn at night in order to keep the teeth in their new position. This is called retention and may be in conjunction for a fixed wire on the inside of the front teeth.
